Wide mouth canning jars — not Ball jars, not Mason jars…. although Mason jars were becoming a generic name. The investigation began with this beautiful cooking booklet, Golden State Mason Jar. The back cover shows jars by Ben Schloss of San Francisco. His company, Schloss Crockery Co. operated between 1899 and 1925. Now, the style and clothes from the front cover? Based on a quick search and research fatigue, I’m going with the late-teens 1914-1918.
