Wow! The American Museum of Baking in Manhattan has samples of Egyptian bread, cake more than 3,800 years old, priceless 200 year old baking books, and much more–although not always readily seen by visitors. The museum is part of The American Institute of Baking on Baker’s Way…near a major road named “Pillsbury!” Update: The Museum’s name changed to Harold M. Freund American Museum of Baking and has minimum online presence now.
A bread museum worth their salt is The Bundy Baking Museum in Urbana, Ohio.
