Kitchen Theater

Between the Soup and the Savoury, is a play by Gertrude E. Jennings [wiki] about kitchen servants written in 1880 and first produced in 1910. Jennings wrote 50 plays, mostly one act comedies about social conditions. her hobby horse being women’s suffrage. One hundred years later her plays Between the Soup and the Savory along with Pros and Cons was on stage again and the theatre group’s backstage [youtube] reflections were recorded.  This group also preformed two more plays by Jennings — The New Poor and Five Birds in a Cage. And extremely low and behold, this is the same play in 2012 with early computer voices.
